Momec was established in 1952 as a versatile mechanical workshop, specialising in high quality outfitting equipment for the shipbuilding industry. The products such as doors, davits for lifeboats, winches, hatches, bollards, scuppers etc, were tailored specifically to the customers requirements.
Momec soon became a leading supplier of Marine Equipment to shipyards all over the world. From the very beginning, shipdoors took a major part of the sales. Momec developed a wide range of fully approved A and B class doors that became the trademark for shipdoors.
